Pastor Andy Denniston and his wife Jenessa have served in Eaton since the fall of 2009. They and their two children, Lydia (7) and Levi (5), previously lived in Fishers, IN where Andy was the Director of Research for WTHR for ten years. God had very different plans for the Dennistons and they are thrilled to be here and a part of all that God is doing in Eaton and Delaware County!
Pastor Michael Flanagin, his wife Sarah, and their two sons Mark and Nash have served at Eaton First Church of God since 2004. They live in Marion, where Michael is the Director of Bands and Instrumental music at Indiana Wesleyan University and Sarah works for IWU's online region. Outside of music, the Flanagins are big sports fans and are often seen in St. Louis Cardinal or IU gear.
Jessie Hines is our director of Little Blessings Childcare Ministry. She, her husband Phil, and the entire Hines family are such an integral part of life here in Eaton! Eaton natives, they know the town well and their servant hearts are always keeping them busy at church and around town. They have four children, Phillip, Amanda, Gatlin, and Brandon. Amanda was recently highlighted in the Muncie Star Press for the Community Clothing Swap that she initiated and implemented, aiding those in need this season.
Serving as the interim coordinator of the Children's Ministry, Jenessa is happily staying busy with all kinds of ideas her mind keeps brewing up! Children are absolutely her passion, and staying home full time with her two children was a dream come true.
She's a nutty Vikings and Twins fan, and writing is a recent passion that has also been sparked. Oh, and Pinterest ;)
Doug and Robin Poland and Jacob Eppard are our interim youth leaders, and they are doing a wonderful job! Doug and Robin have two high schoolers, Shelby and Devon, and Jacob is a recent Delta grad and Ball State student. All of them have a passion for Christ and young people and we thank them for everything they have done and are doing!
Gary Shonk and his wife Lis are our directors of Missions and also coordinate our Friday morning Prayer Breakfast which benefits missions in Honduras. They have lived in Eaton for over 30 years, and their love of community and God's people is so evident in all they do. What an asset they are to our team!
Every single one of us plays a part in the team that makes up God's family! From Tina leading LIFT, to Gordon's class, to Richard and John at the Food Pantry, to our brothers and sisters serving in other churches nearby and around the world! We're all in this together; may we set this world ablaze for Christ!
